WHICH BOOK IS BEST FOR GATE EXAM FOR CIVIL ENGINEERS?

Although I do not believe notes / material matters in GATE, following should answer your question:
  1. Your own notebooks (because you’ve studied at-least 50 nights before final exams from these in last 4 years!)
  2. Any GATE textbook available in your city (for quick revision of important subjects)
  3. Last 2~3 years GATE question-papers from official GATE website.
  4. Vani Institute Notes (if available)
  5. Enroll in Vani Institute Gate Online Test Series.
I personally do recommend last two as they are expensive and demand ALOT of time and practice. Moreover, I’ve cracked the test thrice using first two sources mentioned above; while scoring among top 1~2%ile of the mass all three times!
It is not the material you’ll study from…It is your learning ability, determination and hardwork that will help you ace this exam.

Dear Friends, Yes, you can start your preparation for  GATE from  the 1st year of graduation. In order to start your preparation make sure to look the syllabus of your branch. Try to clear your basics and make your fundamentals strong. You can also refer to previous year papers to understand the exam pattern and level of questions.
