WHICH BOOK IS BEST FOR GATE EXAM FOR CIVIL ENGINEERS?

Although I do not believe notes / material matters in GATE, following should answer your question: Your own notebooks (because you’ve studied at-least 50 nights before final exams from these in last 4 years!) Any GATE textbook available in your city (for quick revision of important subjects) Last 2~3 years GATE question-papers from  official GATE website . Vani Institute Notes (if available) Enroll in Vani Institute Gate Online Test Series. I personally do recommend last two as they are expensive and demand ALOT of time and practice. Moreover, I’ve cracked the test  thrice  using first two sources mentioned above; while scoring among top 1~2%ile of the mass all three times! It is not the material you’ll study from…It is your learning ability, determination and hardwork that will help you ace this exam.

WHAT ARE THE BEST BOOKS FOR GENERAL APTITUDE IN THE GATE AND IES?

if your concepts are crystal clear, No need to worry. Previous year papers :  just check the standard of questions being asked by them. if you think it’s handy for you then don’t dwell so much in it. Practice Tactics  :- Go for basic concepts clearly and well wriiten In  Vani Gate online Test Series  Portal , jump to the Previous year Gate papers. try to solve as much you can.  You will the basic idea of toughness and easiness of questions being asked in aptitude. Books Recommended  :- Vani Institute Books (  i know it is bit boring), but actually contains lot of questions. Apart from it, VAni Institute book on Aptitude is also available. Dear Friends, Yes, you can start your preparation for  GATE from  the 1st year of graduation. In order to start your preparation make sure to look the syllabus of your branch. Try to clear your basics and make your fundamentals strong. You can also refer to previous year papers to understand the exam pattern and level of questions. You can refer below points for your preparation Check the past year papers and exam analysis. Divide the Topics broadly into Strong, Weak and to be read properly. Next schedule your preparation such that you revise the easy ones along with the tough ones and the “never read before” ones. This will ensure you have a clear view of what is to be studied and how you are going to do it. While many advise to check the weightage and study accordingly, it is really not the correct way to go.
